Community Rules

The Buildyard is a place for builders. These rules keep it friendly, safe and fast for everyone. They apply in the game, on the website and on our Discord. Not knowing a rule isn't an excuse, so please read them.

Be decent

  • Respect everyone. No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind.
  • Keep it clean. No pornographic, sexually explicit or gore content in builds, world names, signs, skins, nicknames or chat. Anything that sexualises minors is banned instantly and reported to the authorities.
  • No illegal content, no promoting self-harm, no sharing other people's private information.
  • No spam, advertising, scams, or begging for ranks. Don't impersonate staff or other players.

Build fair

  • Don't touch what isn't yours. No griefing, no trying to get around world or plot protection.
  • Credit and permission. Only upload or paste builds, schematics and worlds you made or have permission to use. Copying another builder's work and presenting it as yours is not allowed.
  • No cheating. Don't exploit bugs, dupe items or use tools to bypass limits. Building tools such as WorldEdit, Axiom and WorldPainter are welcome inside your own worlds and plots.

Protect the server

  • No lag machines, mass falling blocks, entity spam or anything meant to slow or crash the server. Our systems clean these up automatically and repeat offenders are removed.
  • No hacking, DDoS or probing of the server, the website or other players.
  • No ban evasion or alternate accounts to get around a punishment.

Worlds and plots

  • You are responsible for what is in your world, including who you trust. Public worlds must follow all the rules above, and staff can visit and inspect any world.
  • Unused or abandoned worlds may be cleaned up if we need the space, and we will try to warn you first.

What happens if you break them

Depending on how serious it is, we can warn you, mute you, remove content, kick you, remove a rank, or ban you permanently, sometimes without warning for serious cases.
